Introductory Post

Hello fellow classmates. I am a 34 year old female, and this is my first time taking a public speaking class. I have to admit I am nervous about speaking in front of an audience. I do not have a lot of experience with public speaking, and I am somewhat shy so this course is going to be challenging for me. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology and have been back in school for the past 4 years working on the prerequisites required for enrolling in nursing school. This is my last semester before applying to nursing school. I have 2 kids-- a 5 year old boy and a 3 year old girl and other than going to school my job has been taking care of them for the past 5 years. My husband is in the Air Force and works at Beale Air Force Base. I am originally from South Carolina and have been told I have a slight accent! I enjoy reading, cooking, exercise, gardening, and being outdoors. I look forward to meeting all of you in person and learning more about what this semester has in store for us.
